The Good Weather For An Airstrike project was initially conceived at the beginning of 2009 to help Tom Honey (also of Post-Rock band Sleepless Dreams.) alleviate the issues caused by suffering from tinnitus, which causes a ringing sensation in the ear and can often result in difficulty sleeping. The idea was to create a collection of relaxing sounds which would help induce sleep.
With his 5th official release comes “Jigsaws”, a collection of songs that were recorded during the production of various past EP’s and albums between 2009 and 2011, which take influence from the likes of Clint Mansell, Eluvium & Stars of the Lid.
The idea behind the physical release was to use one photograph by Lauren Brett Photography and cut it up into 12 pieces, if all the CD covers are placed together they create one large photo. Each copy includes 2 bonus tracks which are not included on the digital release.
